The Handmade Life offers personalized consultations, handcrafted goods, herbal traditions, and other “old ways” via virtual and in-person workshops. The goal of these efforts is to preserve history and knowledge for future generations and, most importantly, to foster well-being and a love of the natural world.

The Mission:

The Handmade Life is built upon the premise that both autonomy and interdependence are two necessary ingredients in a satisfied life experience.  Autonomy requires confidence in one’s own capabilities to navigate life’s challenges. The Handmade Life hopes to empower others to design their own unique, fulfilling lifestyles, while firmly rooted in a strong container of health that honors the natural world.  We also believe interdependent community, a true safety net that catches you in hard times as well as teaches you how to catch others in theirs, is the birthright of every human, and that it must be consciously experienced and shared if it is to be recognized, valued and nurtured for future generations.
